So often we feel trapped, stressed, and overwhelmed. In our bodies, in our minds.
When this happens, you shut down.
You get so overwhelmed by the people and the world around you that it’s easier to stuff it down than to do anything else with it. Out of sight, out of mind, right?
Except there’s really no such thing as out of sight, out of mind. You know that.
We started walk and talk counseling to give you a space to release.
We want to help you release in a kind, gentle way.
There are so many reasons why walk and talk is great for this:
You’re outside. The calming effects of being outside is exactly the kind of safety you need to explore what’s been going on for you, connecting to nature and yourself together.
You’re moving. Walking allows you to get some of those stuck areas unstuck. Our bodies and minds are so connected, and walking while talking enhances that connection and shakes loose what holds you back.
You’re therapy-ing. With your counselor as your guide, you will explore parts of yourself you didn’t even know you were there. Things will become clearer as you release, understand, and connect to the parts of you that need love.
