Marriage, Couples, and Family Counselor
It’s really overwhelming – and even confusing – to find a good counselor.
What is a good counselor?
How do you know if someone is a good fit for you?
What’s the difference between all the techniques?
What do the letters behind the name mean?!
So let me talk in regular language about what I do and how I do it: I create a space for you to feel truly heard in an environment that is comfortable and warm. In that space, we talk about you. I listen, I ask you questions to help you explore, and sometimes bring your attention to patterns and themes I’m noticing as you talk. I’m there to companion you as you learn things about yourself and the people around you. Together, we create goals and expectations for counseling that will help you in the ways you tell me you need help.
And that’s counseling.
A little more about me…
I work with individuals and couples who are struggling in their relationships. And if you’re not currently struggling – I’m a big believer in proactively addressing relationship health, so I provide couples the space to work on stronger connection and understanding.
I have a master’s degree in Family, Couples, and Marriage Counseling from Kutztown University (Go Golden Bears!) I dedicated my time in grad school to understanding how people connect with others and how those connections affect their lives. I use talk therapy to help people explore family and relationship dynamics and how they impact boundaries, self-talk, and fears. I work with my clients to help them truly get a grasp on their unique story and create a vision for what they want their lives to look like.
